About yapyep

yapyep is a comedy engine for everyday decisions. You bring a dilemma — pizza or tacos, should I rewatch the show, should I text them back — and a small cast of cartoon characters argues about it before stamping a verdict you can screenshot and share. It's part decision tool, part comic strip, and entirely a bit.

What yapyep is

Decision paralysis is universal: everyone has a low-stakes "should I?" rattling around in their head. Most decision tools answer that with pros-and-cons lists and weighted scoring. yapyep does the opposite and leans all the way into the absurdity. The verdict isn't really the point — the argument is. It's built to be playful enough for a ten-year-old and dry enough for an adult's group chat.

How it works

Type your dilemma into the single text box and the squad gets to work. A small language model reads it, the characters take turns making their case in their own voices, and a verdict drops at the end as a comic strip. Save the strip as an image or copy the share link. If you don't like the ruling, ask again — the squad rarely agrees with itself twice.

Meet the squad

yapyep's first cast is three deliberately archetypal voices. The Realist is dry and factual, names the trade-offs, and refuses to manufacture excitement — right, rarely fun. The Optimist is warm and energetic and reframes any dilemma into a win-win, even when there isn't one. The Pessimist is deadpan and weary, calmly laying out the worst case like someone who has seen this movie before. Between the three of them, the verdict feels like a real argument resolved rather than a coin flip.

Private by design

Dilemmas feel personal, so yapyep keeps them on your device. The language model runs entirely in your browser — your dilemma, the argument, and the verdict are all generated locally and never sent to a server. The only thing your browser downloads is the model's weight files, which are anonymous static assets. Analytics and ads load only if you accept the cookie banner. See the Privacy page for the full detail.

It's a joke, not advice

Every verdict yapyep produces is fiction written for laughs. It is not medical, legal, financial, or mental-health guidance, and it is not built for personal crises. If a dilemma feels heavier than "pizza or tacos," please talk to someone qualified — the app will gently steer you toward real help when it senses something serious.
